Depending upon what type of PC you have, your motherboard may have
an upgrade socket for your CPU. Some motherboards have a
LIF Socket,
while others may have a
ZIF socket.
Still others may have a
LCC socket,
or an
overdrive socket.
These sockets allow you to upgrade your current CPU, or add
a new CPU. The important thing to remember is to match the new CPU upgrade
with the correct socket on the motherboard.
